Customers of Chrysler Group LLC will be able to apply for an automotive credit card program in May that will allow them to receive a number of auto discounts. The program, which will reward customers based on their loyalty to the brand, is being offered through First National Bank of Omaha and MasterCard.

Auto Discounts Offered to Program Participants

In an effort to regain its customer base after its bankruptcy in 2009, Chrysler’s rewards program offers a number of perks. According to a press release issued by the automaker on Wednesday, individuals who become cardholders could receive the following benefits:

  • Earn points: Cardholders will earn three points for every $1 spent on purchases at participating dealerships, two points for travel-related purchases and one point for all other purchases.
  • Redeem points: After points are earned, they can be redeemed for products and services like cash-off of vehicle purchases, parts and services at dealerships. Also, rewards could be used for travel, merchandise and gift cards.
  • No reward point cap: Another perk the company promotes is no cap on reward point earning or redemption.

According to the company, the MasterCard credit card will have no annual fee and will offer customers “a competitive annual percentage rate.” The car brands participating in the program are Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram Truck and Fiat. Cards issued to customers will be branded with one of these car names.

Interested Customers Can Apply In Person or Online

Those who are interested in taking advantage of this program are encouraged to visit a Chrysler Group dealership for more information. Once the program begins, customers will be invited to apply while purchasing a vehicle or having one serviced. The company says those who apply in person will receive an instant decision.

Those who would like to apply online are encouraged to do so. Visit www.chryslergroupcreditcards.com starting in May 2011 to take advantage of the Chrysler Group’s offer.
