Earlier this week Iberiabank introduced its new Platinum Card complete with ScoreCard benefits which allows consumers to earn up to 17,000 bonus points during the first year that their account is open.
On opening the Iberiabank Platinum Cards, consumers are awarded an initial 5,000 bonus points on making their first purchase with their new credit card account. They then become eligible to earn an extra 1,000 bonus points every month during the first year of the account being open, provided that the monthly spend on the account is at least $250.
In addition to this, account holder also earn a point for every dollar that is spent on qualifying purchases making it easy to accumulate enough points to redeem for generous rewards fairly quickly.
Rewards can be redeemed for as little as 700 bonus points. The ScoreCard rewards program also offers cardholders even more ways to earn points with regular double and triple points promotions in participating stores and online merchants.
The ScoreCard rewards program offers cardholders the opportunity to redeem their reward points for merchandise, travel and experiences. The catalog of rewards includes top name brand names, vacations, services and once in a lifetime experiences. The rewards are updated regularly making sure that you have the latest rewards to choose from. Once registered for the program it is possible to create personal wish lists to keep track of the rewards you want.
There are also other plus points when it comes to the Platinum Card from Iberiabank in addition to the generous rewards program. The card carries no annual fee and for the first six billing periods, new customers can enjoy a low introductory APR of just 1.99 percent on balance transfers. For purchases the APR varies depending on your individual credit score and will vary depending on the Prime Rate.
At present the three available rates are 9.25%, 12.25% and 15.25%. Whichever rate is assigned to your account will also be used for balance transfers once the introductory rate expires. Cash advances, however, are charged at a higher APR of 14.75%, 18.25% or 21.25% again based on individual circumstances.
In regard to fees, balance transfers are subject to a 2 percent fee on the total of the transfer amount as are foreign transactions completed out with the United States whether or not there has been a currency conversion. Cash advances are subject to either a $5 surcharge or 5% of the total transfer depending on which is greater up to a maximum of $100.
